Day 5 Snow Canyon State Park Nov. 23, 2013

We stayed in town another day due to the rain and cold weather. It poured in the desert overnight and we woke up to snow. It was only sticking to the top of the canyon. Jason found a leak and had to rip up the floors to dry underneath. He wished he had used lanonlium instead of laminate floors now! We did some shopping in town and then came back to nap. We finally went for a walk on the whiptails and west canyon trails. It's been a low key day with all the rain we are getting here in the desert! Now we are playing with Ella. I just love how her toes and feet are always moving and she is so cute when she shrills in excitement. We may go to bed early again. That's life in a trailer while it's raining and cold out! 

Day 4- Snow Canyon State Park Utah Nov. 22, 2013

Destination: Snow Canyon State Park, UT. (Too cold in Zion)

Depart: 9:00

Arrive: 11:00

Weather: 25-43 woke up to the ground covered in snow. A very cold night. Rain all day

State: Utah

Animals: same 

Visited: Zion outlet malls, drove through St. George

Highway 15

Trails: whiptails 

Highlights:

Arlene- a long warm shower in the am, walking on the trail as a family, walking up a sandstone petrified dune, taking an afternoon nap

Jason- our walk

Ella- hiking up the sandstone with daddy and napping with daddy

Gordo- pooping on lava and sandstone rocks, walk with the family

When Jason pulled Ella out of the stroller to walk up the sandstone she began kicking her legs in excitement. She is very aware for seven months. I think she is going to be a dare devil! She loves being surprised. She will jump but then quickly show her gummy smile or burst out in laughter.

Day 3 Beaver, UT. Nov. 21 2013

Destination: shopping and then driving until we can't anymore!

Depart: 9:00 from Willard bay st. Park

Arrive: 5:00. Stopped in Beaver, UT. At a KOA

Weather: 20- 38 foggy, windy, strong gust, rain and snow 

States: Utah

Animals: same

Visited: target, land rover dealership for mud flaps, and IKEA in Salt Lake City

Highway- 15

Highlights-

Arlene- free hot chocolate at ikea, shopping at ikea, our new table and chairs

Jason- ikea, lunch with family at ikea

Ella- looking at everything in target and ikea, finally getting out of the car in the evening

Gordo- his new bed from target

It's Ella's seven month birthday today and she is beginning to stand on her hands and knees. She is not crawling yet but is rocking back and forth and scooting across the floor. She loves exploring with us. She completely relaxes when we put her in the stroller and she looks around at the trees and scenery as we walk.
